I’m going to start this review by saying that I’m a huge fan of LEGO. I’ve been building sets since I was a kid, and I still enjoy it as an adult. I was really excited when I heard that LEGO was releasing a set for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl. I was even more excited when I found out that the set included Bootstrap Bill, Captain Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Maccus, Will Turner, and a Galleon.
The set contains 804 Pieces, and it’s recommended for ages 10-14. It took me a little over 2 hours to build, and I had no problems following the instructions.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the quality of the pieces. The LEGO pieces are always high quality, but the pieces in this set are especially nice. They’re all molded in a nice, dark plastic that looks like wood.
The next thing I noticed was the size of the set. The Galleon is huge! It’s easily the largest LEGO set I’ve ever built.
The set comes with a really nice, full-color map of the Caribbean. It’s a really cool addition, and it’s something that I’ll definitely be using to play with the set.
The build itself was really enjoyable. I really like the way the set looks when it’s finished. It’s very accurate to the movie, and it’s a lot of fun to play with.
The set comes with a lot of great features. The sails can be raised and lowered, the cannons can be fired, and the ship can be sailed in any direction. It’s also got a lot of great detail, including a hidden compartment and a working anchor.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this set. It’s my new favorite LEGO set, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean or LEGO.
