MyBricks 3.0 Features

This major update seems small but it’s really big under the hood because MyBricks now supports a long awaited feature: minifigures. It was never intended to support them by myself because i am no minifigure collector but upon many user requests i implemented them now and therefore i had to overthink the whole database structure and added over 10,000 minifigures during the last 2 years.

General improvements
- new: Minifigures – as archive, in sets and in collections
- new: LEGO-Insiders Points Value in Set-View
- updated add to collection form in set view to support minifigures
- set archive (Find Sets) sidebar: you can now filter by subthemes
- updated set licenses (i. e. Boeing, Formular 1, Koenigsegg)
- better catch no result archive pages
- performance: general speed improvement on detail pages
- moved the mobile user dropdown menu (holding collections) to the main canvas menu
Collections
- Significant speed improvements … less loading times!
- New Filter by Type to support Minifigures
- Added the filter to navigation as well
- updated figures column to hold count of figures and actual inventory
- duplicate entry animation is now smoother and better to understand
- general fixes regarding quantity values during cloning, editing and deleting
- fixing end of table filter value errors
- you can now use ESC-key to exit any popup (like selling an item)
Please keep in mind that the minifigure-feature is not perfect at the moment: it should work pretty robust but many minifigures are still missing and the trading prices might be not up to date. I need to add more coding logic to the price field synchronization. But i wanted to release it now instead of waiting even longer.
Future Plans & Ideas
- rebuilding or facelifting homepage
- ddding more vintage sets and magazine gifts to the database
- optimizing code for large collections
- adding items directly from within your collection
- bringing back box photo scan within search from MYB V1
- bringing back grid view of collection items from MYB V1
- more languages like French or Spanish
Do you still miss something?
